Relationship is psychedelic.
Preparation, integration, and education for people working with psychedelics, grounded in harm reduction and respect for your autonomy. Telehealth across Ohio and Colorado.
The relationship is the work.
What comes up in these experiences is almost always about relationship. Something between you and yourself, or you and the people you love, or you and what was done to you.
Set and setting, the working alliance, the support someone has afterward. These aren't the soft edges around the pharmacology. They're a large part of what determines whether an experience helps anyone, and that's been true in every trial I've worked on.
So I don't treat preparation and integration as add-ons to the medicine. The medicine moves alongside the relationship, not the other way around.
"I am often struck by the dangerous narcissism fostered by spiritual rhetoric that pays so much attention to individual self-improvement and so little to the practice of love within the context of community."

Before and after.
Preparation
Get clear on why you're doing this, understand the mechanisms and the risks that don't get talked about much, and give your nervous system time to get ready.
Integration
Make sense of what surfaced, and work out what it means for how you live.
Education
The research, the harm-reduction practices, and how to find support that's actually safe, whether for yourself or for the clients you serve.
What I bring to this.
I've spent years on both sides of this work, seeing clients and publishing research on therapeutic alliance, harm reduction, and access for LGBTQIA+ and marginalized communities. I've also served as a clinician and researcher on psilocybin trials, so I know what these protocols look like from the inside, including where they fall short.
"The medicine doesn't do the work on its own. It never has."

The dosing is the easy part to access.
If you're working with a licensed ketamine provider or clinic, I offer preparation and integration support alongside it, drawing on relational, somatic, trauma-focused, and IFS-informed approaches.
